  • World Championships in Sweden
For the second Time in my career, I traveled for the world Championships in Sweden. After the world Cup in Falun in the year 2022, we travelled around 90 km to the North-West, in turn, Dalarna. After the championship, in Portugal, I have invested a lot in the preparation for this world Cup. We travelled to Gothenburg to the O-rings to make with the Swedish peculiarities in the Bike-O (re -) familiar. Read in this report, as it was then in the world Cup.
  • European Championships in Portugal
Portugal is never flat. Or so I thought, at least, until I came to Almeida. In this region, which sits on a plateau at around 700 metres above sea level on the Spanish border, I was proved wrong. Across all four races, the total accumulated climb came to almost exactly 1,000 metres. On top of that, these were the first international championships for me that took place almost entirely outside forested terrain. Even so, I look back on exciting, demanding races and a few good results.

  • Season kick-off in Portugal
After a long winter of intense training, I traveled to Portugal and Spain to compete in the first selection races and test myself against international competition for the first time.
  • World Championships in Warsaw
The highlight of this year’s season took place in the sandy forests just east of the Polish capital Warsaw. The weather was extremely warm and dry, not only during the World Championships, but also in the weeks leading up to them. This meant that the sandy ground became even deeper and slower to ride on than it already was. This was also the biggest difference compared to the preparatory competitions we held in June in directly adjacent terrain.
